About the Scrum Master I

The Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification validates your understanding of Scrum as defined in the Scrum Guide and your ability to apply the Scrum framework to help teams deliver value effectively. It is intended for professionals who work with Scrum teams—or plan to— and need a solid foundation in Scrum roles, events, artifacts, and the rules that connect them. The exam focuses on Scrum theory and principles, the Scrum Master’s accountabilities, coaching and facilitation practices, and how to handle real-world situations such as impediments, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Why use practice tests for this exam?

  • Train on PSM I-style questions that test deep understanding of Scrum concepts (not memorization)
  • Practice identifying subtle distinctions in roles, events, artifacts, and commitments
  • Spot common traps (responsibilities, what is required vs. optional, Scrum values and empiricism)
  • Improve speed and confidence by answering under timed, exam-like conditions

Practice test format

  • Scrum Guide–aligned multiple-choice questions covering PSM I exam themes
  • Mixed difficulty to reflect real exam pacing and tricky edge cases
  • Timed sessions to train speed and reduce second-guessing
  • Retake-friendly: repeat tests to reinforce concepts and close knowledge gaps

Skills covered

  • Scrum theory and principles (empiricism, transparency, inspection, adaptation)
  • Scrum values and how they influence behavior and decision-making
  • Accountabilities and responsibilities (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Developers)
  • Scrum events and their purpose (Sprint, Planning, Daily Scrum, Review, Retrospective)
  • Artifacts and commitments (Product Backlog/Product Goal, Sprint Backlog/Sprint Goal, Increment/Definition of Done)
  • Roles in facilitation, coaching, and removing impediments (Scrum Master stance)
  • Common Scrum misconceptions and how to correct them in real scenarios
